Great example hands to back up concepts. Your explanations are articulate and easy to understand. Look forward to seeing a schedule of future lessons.
Jeff’s online classes are fantastic! You get to play quite a lot of hands. Jeff gives you enough time to replay if you don’t make contract. His analysis of the hands are so helpful. I am a newbie and many of the hands were beyond my current ability but it was good to see what is coming down the road! Thanks Jeff 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Jeff is an energetic, considerate, and skilled teacher. This is my second review, and my second round of accolades for this gifted teacher of the game of bridge.
Jeff is a wonderful teacher. He is skilled at cultivating a supportive and fun learning environment. He challenges you, but is kind and endlessly patient. Zoom classes can be frustrating, especially when teachers get derailed by student questions and other distractions. Not Jeff; while he attentively answers questions, he also runs a tight ship and keeps the group focused and moving. And, he does this with warmth and a twinkle in his eye! If you want to learn Bridge, go with Jeff. He’s a gifted teacher and you’ll have fun too!
Jeff is the kindest, most comprehensive bridge teacher that I have the great fortune to have found. No shame, no blame, just fun and learning.
"It’s difficult to imagine learning bridge from anyone other than Jeff. Jeff provides concise explanations of difficult concepts, offers plenty of common-sense examples, and strives to develop the most difficult aspect of the game: judgment."
"I have been taking lessons from Jeff for a year and a half. What sets him apart from other instructors is he uses multiple teaching methods-lecture, hands on playing each class, recorded sessions for each class and outside resources for practice of concepts."
"Jeff is a very unique and effective bridge professional and instructor. First, his love and enthusiasm for the game is front and center during in each session. Second, he breaks down, and ensures his students understand apply, the theories of bridge from its basics to the most advanced conventions of the game. Third, he makes himself accessible to each student after class should they need additional assistance or access to related learning materials. And, most importantly, these qualities not only illustrate his expertise in the game, but his excellence in teaching bridge. If you are interested in learning bridge, or enhancing your skills in playing the game, look no further, Jeff Badler, is the instructor for you!"
"Jeff's enthusiasm for the game is contagious, and he's got me hooked! He does a great job of explaining the lessons and the hands. My game has improved dramatically since I began taking lessons with him in November 2022. I couldn't have done it without him."
"Jeff's love of bridge is obvious and contagious! He has clearly spent a great deal of time and effort developing his courses. Jeff explains complex material in an approachable and a very enjoyable way. His real-time instruction and practice classes are incredibly valuable and are also a lot of fun! The reinforcing recordings and practice hands are a great resource as well. Importantly, Jeff clearly takes great pleasure in his students' success and seems never to tire of questions or requests to clarify anything. I'd recommend Jeff's courses to anyone who would like to learn the great game of bridge."
"I started taking lessons with Jeff in Jan 2023. I knew nothing about bridge and had no idea what I was getting myself into. Thanks to Jeff, I am now addicted! He is an excellent teacher. His lessons are well thought out and he explains each concept thoroughly. The pacing at which he introduces new steps effectively reinforces learning. He is patient and good-humored. He is always available. Jeff's love of the game and love of teaching stands out. It's obvious he cares about all his students. I know I am lucky to have found him!"
"Of the four bridge teachers I had in the past 3 years Jeff Badler is the best to explain complicated concepts and the one I learned the most with."
"Jeff has a way of explaining things so that everyone understands the day's lesson. Most importantly, Jeff cares about his students and gets real enjoyment when "our" light bulb turns on. It is obvious how much time and prep he puts into the lessons "for us". I played bridge for about 10 years on/off & off -- and/but Jeff made it fun and exciting again for me. I've learned more from him the last year than I did the first 10. Everybody bids and plays all hands -- not like watching a lecture. The pre-lesson notes and follow up recordings are very valuable while learning and practicing. Atta boy Jeff -- and thank you."
"Wanted to let you know I really enjoyed the mini course and I plan to take the next one you are doing with Joe Byrnes. You guys are great teaching together - great chemistry - it works very well. You two just make a great tag team! …thanks again for these series! Very, very helpful."
"Your course was a lot of fun, though my brain is EXPLODING! Looking forward to the next course."
"Your classes are always so well organized with a mix of teaching and playing of hands. I find getting the pre-lesson exercises in advance very helpful because then the explanation is more meaningful."
"I enjoy all your classes. For me personally I get much more out of it watching you play the hands. I learn so much that way. You 100% explain the thought processes. For me that is key."
"I loved the course! It was well structured. You give great explanations on planning the play of the hand. Thank you for the wonderful classes."
