There are four courses in the Beginner program at Honors Bridge and Games The introductory course is five 2-hour lessons, given once a week.
In this course, you will learn the basic elements of bridge. The idea is for you to get a feel for what the game is all about. It includes a copy of A Taste of Bridge by Jeff Bayone, an excellent book that helps guide you through the basics. You will also be provided with a complementary six week subscription to Bestebridge.com, a terrific practice site.
You will learn how to participate in no trump auctions, how to count winners and play the hands.
Obviously, you won’t be a player in 5 weeks, but you will be able to decide if bridge is for you. Learning bridge is a journey. I consider it an honor that you allow me to accompany and guide you.
With the introductory course, I will provide these at no additional cost:
* Access to recordings, allowing you to make up missed classes or watch the lesson again to reinforce the concepts.
* Copies of the hands played with detailed explanations.
* Class notes sent in advance for you to review. I want you to stay engaged with me, rather than feverishly write everything down.
My next in person Beginner 1 class will be at the Club Thursdays 9:30 -11:30 AM ET.
**There is a new feature.** My in person classes at the Honors Bridge and Games will also be streamed live. You may participate and play hands online or in person!

I will also have another Beginner 1 course on Tuesdays, 9:30 -11:30 AM starting September. Schedule: Sept 10, 17, 24, Oct 1 & 8.

Cancellation policy:
Given the limited space in each class, we encourage you to register as far in advance as possible. However, we understand that sometimes schedules change. Your payment will be refunded if you withdraw at least 3 days before the class begins. The course fee is not refundable after the first class, but we will allow you to apply the payment to a future Beginner course.
